the people

Meet the team behind the quiet.

When we say one number, one team, one answer, these are the people who pick up.

Jason Ulmer
President
Jason has been in technology his whole life — from building and selling computers to higher ed in the early ’90s, to leading Kloud-12 today, with stops along the way in operations, finance, IT, and product. He’s driven by listening to customers and turning their needs into products people actually use, guided by one rule: less is more — do the things that matter most, better than anyone else.
Outside the office, he’s a competitive pickleball player, husband to his high school sweetheart, and father to three kids (plus a menagerie of pets) in Suwanee, GA. His goal for every client: to remember what it feels like to work with a company that stands behind its product and its word.
Jonah Matthes
Director of Technology

Jonah started in technology at 18 in his dad’s A/V installation business, later earning a networking degree and cutting his teeth in ed tech support and product development. He built and scaled his own digital media company before joining Kloud-12 in 2024, where he now leads the technology side of the business — from new features and product updates to keeping production and support teams ready for whatever comes next. His focus is turning customer ideas into real products, backed by deep expertise in networking, Linux systems, and API management.

Outside the office, Jonah is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a 5-year coach at his gym, with a standing 6am gym habit. His secret power: learning fast and never assuming he’s got it all figured out. What he wants every customer to know — Kloud-12 genuinely cares about its products, its people, and getting it right.

Kelli Martines
Director of Business Development and Customer Success
Kelli Martines leads business development and customer success at Kloud-12, helping districts move from an initial technology investment to meaningful, long-term adoption. She shapes sales strategy, grows partnerships, and leads the teams behind onboarding, customer success, expansion, and renewal — all focused on making sure Kloud-12 solutions work where they matter most: in the classroom. She began her career as a middle school math teacher and Teach for America corps member in Miami-Dade County and Richmond, Virginia, where a flipped-classroom experiment changed the course of her career and gave her the classroom-first perspective she brings to every conversation.
Outside of work, Kelli lives in Louisville, Colorado, with her husband, two teenage daughters, and two spoiled dogs. She enjoys golf, hiking, skiing, Rockies baseball, and Disney trips with her family. Her secret power: having seen education technology from both sides — as a teacher trying to make tools work, and as a leader helping school systems adopt them.

Small team. Whole job.

Small team.
Whole job.

There’s no tier-one script-reader between a district and an answer here. The people who designed your system are down the hall from the people monitoring it, and everyone’s number leads somewhere real. That’s not a limitation of our size. It’s the point of it.
