Jefferson City Schools, annually ranked as one of Georgia’s top-performing districts, recently implemented Kloud-12’s MoreVoice Unity – Bells, Paging & Intercom system. This strategic move marks a significant upgrade in the district’s day-to-day communication capabilities and emergency response.
Kloud-12’s integration with CENTEGIX® empowers schools with an innovative solution tailored to meet evolving safety and operational needs.
Addressing Critical Safety Challenges
Jefferson Academy, home to over 900 students, faced pressing communication challenges as its previous intercom system aged and became less reliable.
With a commitment to student safety and operational efficiency, the district sought a solution that met budget constraints without compromising on quality. Kloud-12® stood out for its customized approach, responsive service, and budget-conscious solutions.
Miranda Storey, Director of Technology, shared, “We selected Kloud-12 for this project because they listened to exactly what we needed. Their service has been extraordinary from the very beginning. I would recommend them to leadership at any school looking to upgrade to an IP-based system.”
Powerful Integration with CENTEGIX CrisisAlert
A critical requirement of the Jefferson Academy project was integration with CENTEGIX CrisisAlert™ to enhance safety through proactive emergency alert capabilities.
When staff initiate a CENTEGIX alert from the CrisisAlert wearable badge or software, the Kloud-12 integration instantly triggers the corresponding intercom message. Kloud-12 also provides regular silent drills and ongoing integration testing to maintain optimal functionality.
“Kloud-12 didn’t just say they integrate; they’ve proven it by regularly testing and refining the integration,” said Tom Parker, Director of Teaching & Learning and CTAE Director.
Innovative Features Designed for Schools
Kloud-12’s intercom system provides the Academy with a two-button system in each classroom, allowing staff to initiate both standard two-way calls and emergency alerts.
This feature supports emergency situations where students may need to request help independently. The intercom also seamlessly aligns with the district’s safety protocols, supporting consistent response plans across all district schools.
Dr. Donna R. McMullan, Superintendent, remarked, “Kloud-12 is a technology partner dedicated to understanding our needs and evolving with us. We’re confident in their commitment to being a long-term partner.”
Reliable and Managed Service for Long-Term Value
Beyond installation, Kloud-12’s MoreVoice Unity system includes a comprehensive 10-year warranty, transparent pricing, and managed services, with all firmware updates and maintenance handled by the Kloud-12 team. Each system component is configured for maximum reliability, from fail-safe server configurations to PoE-powered devices for uninterrupted operation during power outages.
In partnership with Grace Ed Technologies, Kloud-12 continues to support Jefferson City Schools’ commitment to providing a safe, efficient learning environment. This project showcases Kloud-12’s dedication to service and innovation, setting a high standard for technology solutions in education.
